Katie + Brian | An Early Summer Engagement Session | Salem Willows | Salem, Massachusetts

Salem willows is a beautiful location, but boy oh boy was it jam packed on the day we had Katie and Brian’s engagement shoot!!

I remember, probably four years ago, I was making my way to Salem during the Halloween season and I briefly drove by this little strip not knowing the area at all! On my way to their session I thought to myself, I wonder if it’s anywhere near that one place I vaguely remember! And sure enough, it was the exact place!!

It’s a gorgeous area, full of beach access and gorgeous views, willow trees which were still filling in with their long branches and that little strip with food and an arcade which was unfortunately closed because of the Corona.

Brian and Katie are such fun souls, and I appreciated how much they were able to be themselves during their session. The way the connected was so natural, and Brian had the easiest time getting Katie to laugh and smile!! The kind where her whole face and body lit up!! He also had some pretty sweet moves during the walking shots, and he knows how to spin Katie around literally in the most effortless way!! I was impressed, and I think Katie was too!! (You’ll see :))

We had a lot of fun, and that is always a goal of mine — to make sure my time with my couples is enjoyable!! We talked about their jobs, and I knew ahead of time that Katie participates in Roller Derby, which I think is freakin’ epic!! And Brian has a little foot into the photography world which I loved, because he actually had some really cool ideas for some of their photos!!
