An End of Fall Engagement Session in Campton, New Hampshire
Okay so this session reaaaally wasn’t at the end of fall! I mean, we are technically I think half way through? But Renae and Logan had their session towards the tail end of my fall season, so we are going to go with it!!
Can you believe this session probably would not have looked this bright and gorgeous had we decided to push through the drizzle and fog the day before? We met up on Saturday and the weather in Campton was vastly different than even the hour prior when I left my home on the seacoast-ish area. We got to our spot and there were NO views to see — the fog was so thick you could hardly see over the treeline just a few feet in front of us. They decided on Saturday morning for their session, prior to attending their friends’ wedding, but it just so happened that I would be in the same spot the next day for another session, so we just pushed it back!
And I am SO glad we did!!! The day was a complete 360. It was chilly as heck, but the sun was bright, and there were no clouds in the sky. These views were a change from my normal spot in Sugar Hill, and let me just say — I am NOT complaining one bit!!
Renae and Logan are two of the most sweetest souls ever. They brought amazing energy and even though they had some nerves coming into this session for a few reasons, they absolutely crushed it! While we did capture portraits to celebrate their engagement, we also took a few portraits to also celebrate the fact they bought a house this year, AND Renae graduated college!!! SO many accomplishments during a year that’s brought so much heartache for others. So it was a breath of fresh air to be able to be excited for them as they celebrated some incredible milestones!!
They’ve been together for a long time, and I can totally see why. The fun they have together, just from what I witnessed during my hour or so with them, was enough to tell how exciting their adventures together have been. I’m incredibly grateful that they asked me to take their engagement portraits, and I am incredibly excited to see them again next year when I photograph their friends wedding!!!
Logan and Renae — thank you both so much for making your trip up here work. I had such a wonderful time, and look forward to seeing you both again in 2021!!! ❤️
