A Lakeside Engagement Session at Weirs Beach in Laconia, New Hampshire

I am just blown away by these images, for a number of reasons!!!

1. It started raining the SECOND we started their session. I’m not even being slightly dramatic. I think I got maybe two clicks in before the skies opened. Mind you…. there was no rain on the radar at all until literally I looked at the weather app at 5pm. Then when I got to my session it showed a 80% of thunderstorms for the ONE HOUR we were supposed to have our session. I’m not even going to lie. I *slightly* panicked but…. the good news is the location ended being the best scenario because there was a place to shoot that was covered!!!
2. Anytime I think Weirs Beach, I think of tons of people, tons of loud bikes and limited areas to work with that wasn’t overcrowded in the background. BUT!!!! I accepted the challenge because no matter what, a location can work!!! And luckily, there wasn’t a ton of people that day so it all worked out honestly really perfectly in my opinion!!!

Thomas and Kayleigh are just so adorable, and what I really loved about photographing their engagement session was how natural they seemed to just do things. It was like they were in my head doing what I was wanting them to do before I could even say it!!! Truly, it can be so hard being in front of the camera but you would never know with them!!!

Though Kayleigh and I tried to find a lupine or lavender field in bloom, ultimately the timing wasn’t right. So instead, we headed back to Weirds Beach where they celebrated their 5 year anniversary, AND, where the same railroad tracks on the strip lead to a few towns over right next to their venue, which we thought was pretty cool!

All in all, it was a really fabulous time walking around, chatting and really learning more about them. Even though it rained for a minute, we made the absolute best of it, and the results are so worth it!!! ☺️

Thank you both for meeting with me for this adventure!! It was such a wonderful time, and I truly am so thankful for the recommendations you had for my family and I’s upcoming Disney trip!!! 😍 Can’t wait for that Dole Whip!!!
