An Dusty Blue Inspired Intimate Wedding in Simsbury, Connecticut

Let me just say that I give Garrett and Liz ALLLLLL the credit in the world for the amount of changes they went through with wedding planning that I’m sure at times seemed endless. Going through a pandemic is hard enough, never mind navigating a wedding. But these two handled it with grace and so much organization that it honestly blew me away a little bit, and I am just so glad they finally got to have their day!!

Over the last two weeks leading up to the wedding day the weather was looking so unpredictable. I always watch the weather like a hawk but as the weather looked more and more uncertain, I was truly nervous that it was going to downpour all day. EVEN THOUGH…. I tend to have super good luck when it comes to wedding day weather.

And, my good luck held up!!!!

We had a few spits of rain during portraits but other than that the skies dried up and everything was perfect. They had their ceremony by the water at a local restaurant in Simsbury which was just beautiful. We also had a few really cool surprises during the day, too!! One of them being an unexpected ice cream truck stopping by right as portraits were finishing up, and then an impromptu visit from the Governor of Connecticut!! An unexpected yet such a fun little drop in!

All in all, it was an absolutely stunning day. Dusty blue touched details throughout the day and they both did such a wonderful job creating an elegant and intimate affair.

Liz and Garrett — thank you so much for going on this wild ride and having me come along. From jumping in the lake last summer to celebrating your vows by the river this summer, it was all around worth every moment. Enjoy some favorites from your day!!!
