A Spring Wedding Day at the Castleton Banquet & Event Center in Windham, New Hampshire

I am so excited to be sharing Mike and Lauren’s wedding day for a few reasons!!! First, I would like to point out the obvious that these two are absolutely adorable!! There were several moments throughout the day, particularly during the first look, that when they held and hugged one another you could just tell they were at home with one another. It was so tender to see!

Second — I want this day to be a testament to what rain on a wedding day can look like. We all were on our toes refreshing the hourly forecast (and minute forecast which I did not realize was a thing until poor Lauren showed me!) and the rain was just not going away. Despite there being thunderstorms, we were still able to make some really beautiful portraits happen!! NO one wants rain, but Mike and Lauren rolled with the punches and trusted me to make sure they still got all the pretty photos despite needing to pivot plans and act fast and on our feet!!

Their day was so much fun. Lauren is just the sweetest and catching Mike’s looks at her throughout the day was just so genuinely perfect. I was living for the blue tones they chose and the fun ruffle chips that were their wedding favors!!

But probably one of my most favorite parts of the day? When I saw that sun glowing hard we booked it outside and even though it was lightly raining…. OHHHHH MAN WAS IT MAGICAL!!!! Probably some of the funnest and most favorite golden hour photos I have ever taken on a wedding day. By that time they were alright with a little fun in the rain and I am so glad that even though water from the sky might have happened, it didn’t ruin their day. And I am so happy with how their whole day went from start to finish!! Celebrating them was just the best, and I am so excited to share more of my favorites from their wedding!!
