Hayley & Ryan

A Beautiful Summer Wedding in Newport Center, Vermont

I cannot tell you how unbelievably sweet these two are, and how much I sincerely adore them. Hayley especially feels like a long lost sister. I remember Ryan telling me during their engagement session how she was so giddy and excited when she found me through Instagram, and how he was worried I was a catfish or something 😂 More so jokingly but I think that that’s so hilarious!! The second I met these two for their engagement session last year I just knew that their wedding day was going to be one filled with just pure fun, and despite the weather messing with us the whole day, it truly was an amazing day!!!!

No one ever wants rain on their wedding day, but I truly feel we made the best of it! Apparently for several hours before my arrival the power went out where the girls were getting ready and then as soon as I walked in to say hi and get set up for the day, VOILA! The power went back on! Surely that was a good sign?

Well, even though the ceremony wasn’t outdoors, we got ALL of their wedding party and couples portraits outside and that is a WIN!!! Hayley’s dad showed me the neighboring property which belonged to Hayley’s uncle, and thank gosh he did because there were tall beautiful oak trees that provided amazing cover so I knew I’d be able to have us under there for photos even if it was lightly raining and no one would get wet.

So that’s what we did!! Ryan had a fun little surprise with his best man who staged a first look and wore a thrifted wedding dress. And then Hayley and Ryan had their actual first look and portraits and it was just as sweet as I had hoped it would be for them. We took some really fun photos with the wedding party and it even stopped raining long enough to take some photos out from under the trees. The flower girl and ring bearer were absolutely adorable and gosh — everything was just awesome.

Cut to the reception… and this is where a lot of the fun went down. We got through all of the formalities and then …. THERE WAS A MECHANICAL BULL! It was honestly so funny seeing people hop on and fall off! Hayley went on for a ride and killed it, and all in all it was just such a great day.

I hope you two had the best day ever and I am already looking forward to the next time I get to see you both. I know there were some hiccups with the weather but it was such a stunning day, and I am so very thankful I got to be the one to be there documenting it all!!!
