Baby Betty’s Lifestyle Newborn Session

First of all, how freakin’ adorable is Betty for a baby girl?! Not to mention, it fits this sweet little babe perfectly!

It’s been just about a decade or more since I last saw Taylor and Bryce, who I know from the high school days. To say it was such a fun time catching up, chatting and getting to see them at the beginning of parenthood was just so fun. Their beautiful home was perfect for a lifestyle session – Betty’s nursery is colored with warm tones and lots of light. Her name above the crib in big letters and floral sheets in the crib was completely perfect.

Their adorable pupper, Millie, joined in on some photos, and though she ran off with Betty’s rubber ducky towards the end of the shoot, I’d say with no major casualties it was a win! It can be tricky adding in animals with newborns but Millie seemed prepped and ready to go when I got there, and it was just the best.

Speaking of the best – Betty was a literal baby angel the whole time I was there. Her awesome dad, Bryce, had a few really fun ideas and little Betty just went along with all of it! She was the perfect mix of snoozy and awake, and oh my heart, is she just adorable!!! A head full of hair, gorgeous little eyes and truly, I could have stayed capturing all the photos all day long.

She snuggled up to her momma and seeing Taylor holding her little girl, knowing I first met her back in Freshman year of high school… it always just blows my mind like, who in the world would have thought all these years later, after being in all those classes together back then, that I would now be here in their home taking family portraits for them? I feel so lucky at what I do, and I feel so honored I got to be the one to take these first family photos for them. Cue the tears!!!

Taylor and Bryce, a BIG congratulations to you both on the arrival of your incredible little girl. She is absolutely perfect and I hope you enjoy some favs from your session!!!
