It can be really hard to find time to have family portraits taken. As someone who is a photographer, you would think I would be better about scheduling them for myself!! I mean, even I had my first ever professional family portraits taken just this year!! So when Jessica asked me to meet up for some family portraits after I met her at a wedding I photographed not too long ago, I couldn’t say no! This momma needed these!
Life can be kind of messy every now and then (I mean, 2020 is the epitome of that), and even when we plan for a portrait session, sometimes it takes holding Harry Potter wands and making silly faces in order to get the job done.
Jessica is such a wonderful mom to her two very energetic boys!! The two littles were in their element as they ran wild in the openness in Sugar Hill, one of my favorite spots for photos. And I really got to chat about mom things with Jessica which was such a refreshing time for me!
Though getting Nolan to give me a smile was a little challenging at first, having his mommy do “magic” on the two boys to get them to smile was the best!!! Our time consisted of waving around wands, running free in the fields, climbing rocks and allowing the boys to lead the way. The energy created for some really beautifully captured candids that I am very proud of. The three of them are as sweet as the goldfish snacks left behind that day, and I really hope to see them again real soon!!!!
