Cassie and Nate finally did the thing!!!
11 years in the making and they finally said their vows to one another last weekend on one of the most beautiful early fall days I’ve ever seen. Remembering them dating in high school and then being able to witness their wedding is one of the best gifts for me. This day has been a long time coming, but it came and went all too quickly it seems!!
Most of their wedding was DIY (courtesy of Cassie’s insane design skills) but you never could have been able to tell with how cohesive and beautifully everything tied together. I am obsessed with the colors they chose of navy and burgundy, and the floral arrangements had my heart bursting!! If there’s two things I love on a wedding day… it’s gorgeous florals and a veil!!!
They hosted their event at Dell-Lea, one of my absolute favorite venues to photograph at, and the whole day from start to finish went flawlessly. Some of my favorite moments included Cassie getting ready with her girls — I knew a few of them from high school, and then her mom (aka Coach) I knew from when I was in middle school!!! Cassie’s soul maid (and permanent third wheel to her and Nate ?), Becca, put on a number for them during toasts that was extremely entertaining!! Another bridesmaid played her ukulele and sang them a beautiful song. And one of my most favorite moments was when Nate and Cassie were announced as husband and wife at the end of the ceremony, he did the most EPIC and well executed kiss and dip I have ever seen!!! Nate dipped his wife a few times throughout the night and each time it was perfect.
The one thing missing was their cat babies, but they still managed to get them there in spirit by making a drink menu in their honor!! Overall, it was perfect and went by way too fast. But after 11 years, I’m just so happy for them finally making it to this point!!
