A Nautical Inspired Wedding at Sebasco Harbor Resort in Phippsburg, Maine
Graydon and Jessie’s wedding day was so freaking beautiful!! When Jessie first asked me to be her wedding photographer, I was thrilled! Especially because her wedding anniversary will be the same day as KJ and I’s!!! September 25th was definitely a hot date to get married this year, and I am so happy I got to spend it with someone I have known for a long time!!
Jessie and I met after I transferred to a new high school my junior year. We both attended the health VOC program at Kingswood and for two years that’s where our friendship grew! We attended state and national competitions together (shoutout to Kimi for being the chaperone!), and what’s so funny to look back on now is neither of us ended up in the medical field! I can’t say I am too upset though, because if I never became a photographer I never would have been able to be the one to take her wedding day portraits.
The forecast danced with the potential of rain all day and though it did spritz from the sky quite a bit literally right before the ceremony, their ceremony and ALL their portraits were able to be taken outside and I am OVER THE MOON with the results!!! While I wish we had some good sunlight over the water, the overcast light diffused perfectly. We got all their portraits done and then eventually, the skies really opened up while everyone was inside dancing the night away but at that point, the party was too deep for anyone to care!!
I’m truly thankful that I got to be the one to photograph this day for Graydon and Jessie. The Lapar family has always been special to me, and seeing them again for the first time in a while was truly the best. Graydon and his family were equally as amazing, and seeing how both families blend together was truly so incredible.
Jessie and Graydon — thank you for having me there for the weekend with you!! I hope you enjoy my many favorites (sorry for the lengthy blog 😜) since my favorites list really got out of hand fast!! I can’t wait to send you your final gallery real soon ❤️
PS. Dan Lapar should go into business for being a wedding hype guy 😂 Once you get to the dancefloor photos, you’ll see what I mean!
