Through all of the wild things going on in the world, it was SO refreshing to get out and photograph Mike and Anita’s engagement session!!!
For having been to Boston many times, and being a New England girl almost my entire life, it was weird for me to realize that I have never been to South Boston!! At least, not that I can remember any way. It was so unique, and I loved seeing a new part of the city!!
I first met the two of them when they were guests at a wedding I photographed last September, and let me tell you guys… I was ECSTATIC when Mike first emailed me asking if I was available for their big day!! I remembered taking their photo at the wedding, and just the quick interaction I had with them, I could tell they were exactly the type of outgoing couple I’d love to serve.
And….. I was right!! Anita is so sweet, outgoing and bubbly! And Mike, though nervous, did amazing at making my job super easy, and the two of them together was just magical. And so dreamy, and I just can’t believe how sweet their images are!!!
They decided they wanted to have their session done at Sullivan’s Castle Island which was beautiful despite how crowded it seemed to be. There were water views with the city on the horizon, a large historic fort and a long harbor walk pathway. This place was extra special since it was the same location where Mike asked Anita to marry him!!!
I loved exploring the area, and though it was super windy and made the session a little challenging, I am in love with how it turned out!!! Looking at these images, you either can’t tell there were moments of really gusty wind, or it worked in our favor and created extra drama to Anita’s already beautiful hair!
Mike and Anita, thank you so much for meeting with me and forgetting the world’s craziness for a little while!! It was so much fun and I can’t wait to see you again on you wedding day!!
