Elizabeth + Garrett | A Lakeside Engagement Session | Silver Lake, New Hampshire

I am officially in heaven after this engagement session!!

Garrett and Elizabeth are two of the sweetest souls ever, and their gentle love is just so dreamy and incredibly romantic!! We had their session at his family lake house on Silver Lake, which was literally so perfect! The original plan was to meet at Cathedral Ledge in North Conway but since there was no access to drive up, they made the decision to have their session on the lake and booooy oh boyyyyy… am I in love with the results!!

We got to go to a few spots around the lake, but some of my favorite images are from the quick stop we made at the boat launch that I spotted on the way to the trail! The mountain views were SO pretty, and the glowy haze over the water as the sun started sinking was just gorgeous.

The scenery reminded me of their proposal story which Elizabeth shared with me when we first started chatting about their wedding! Garrett had suggested a hike, and to bring a camera so that they could get a few nice photos. He set the self timer on the camera and had 10 seconds to get the proposal out before the photo snapped! Even though we didn’t hike Cathedral Ledge for their photos to set the same tone as the proposal, the fact that we were in a special place was just as beautiful.

AND!!!! I never would have guessed we would have done this… but we actually got INTO the lake for some photos!!! It was almost just a passing idea, given how hot it was out during their session. We drove back to get a few more shots on the dock before I left, and when we got out of our cars, they said that they were totally on board with jumping in the lake!! Y’ALL! I can’t tell you how happy my heart was!!

They jumped off the dock into the water, and then I joined with my camera and got some of my absolute favorite photos I think of all time!! It was SO romantic and a perfect end to their session in my opinion. I have been wanting to check that off of my bucket list, so Garret and Elizabeth, thank you for having fun and doing something out of the norm!!!
