The Briand Double Wedding

An Epic End of Summer Wedding at The Glen on First Connecticut Lake in Pittsburg, New Hampshire

PHEWWWW!!! Having this up on the blog is a HUGE accomplishment, and yes — you are reading that right!! I photographed a DOUBLE WEDDING and it was insanely epic!!! A career highlight to say the least.

When Sharon first inquired with me a couple summers ago with a little line in there about “would you consider a double wedding?” I remember having to reread that like 12 times because I had never come across it before. I think maybe I’ve seen a handful of photos on Pinterest about it? Of course it’s not typical…. but THIS was a perfect way to do it. Sharon, Stephanie, Tim and Nic all hit it out of the park and it was easier than some of the single wedding days I’ve had!!

The amount of stress I put on myself leading up to this was incredible. Ask my husband… I put a great deal of pressure on myself when it comes to my little business, but I have never taken anything on like this before and I just really wanted to make sure I executed it right. I wanted to make sure my time with them was divided amongst both couple’s equally, and I created SO many lists and notes to prep because I just didn’t want to miss anything. THEY never were stressed (literally they all are the most laid back people and I adore them all SOOOOO much!!), but boy was I just wanting to make sure I got this right because it probably is a once in a lifetime thing for me.

Well, after reliving their day while editing their wedding… literally everything was just perfect. The four of them were just amazing from start to finish, and I am wholeheartedly sad it’s over. From their details, to the fun portraits we took, to the fact that it rained and then stopped right when we needed it to… to the comfortable weather and the most beautiful moon that we got photos with and then their end of night fireworks that went off as I said my farewells…. it was just such an epic day.

Those Briand boys are ridiculously sweet and hilarious, and Steph and Sharon are just so laid back and amazing that I felt so lucky to be the one to get to make these memories happen for them. One of my favorite parts of the day was when the girls shared a first look with one another… ooooo my little heart!!! Two best friends who became sisters on the same day… I just can’t express how special it was to watch.

To all four of your Briand’s… THANK YOU so much for trusting me during this journey and for letting me come have some of the most fun I have ever had. You four mean a lot to me, and I cannot wait to see where you all go from here!!!! Two engagement sessions and an epic wedding day later — YOU DID IT!!!! Enjoy my maaaaaaaaaaany many favorites ❤️

xoxo – Jess
