A Gorgeous Spring Engagement Session at Carter Hill Orchard in Concord, New Hampshire

It has been on my bucket list for forever now to have a session with apple blossoms in full bloom! And while it might seem like a rather simple thing to try to accomplish, like Jess — just book a session there. It’s not that simple. I don’t dictate where my clients have their sessions, even though I might suggest a place, doesn’t mean they will choose it.

BUUUUT! When I messaged with Thom asked if they had an idea of what they were looking for in terms of session location, he mentioned Carter Hill directly, and I knew we were having their session in spring, so my heart was SO happy! Apple blossoms can be a very quick hit or miss. As fast as they bloom, they seem to be gone even faster. But friends, I am happy to report we did their session on probably the best day of apple blossom season!!

Rain threatened their session time, but when I checked in with Michael and Thom, they both said they were game on even if it rained and I LOVED how adventurous that sounded. And while it didn’t end up raining (kind of wish it did a little because it honestly would have been epic!!!), we did get some glow and I am thrilled with how beautiful their portraits came out!!!

Thom and Michael just seemed so natural while I was taking their photos. I loved the small silly moments they had which created some genuinely adorable moments. And one thing I absolutely adored was when we did some walking shots and they HELD PINKIES!!!! I have no idea why but that just seems so romantic to me!!! You’ll see what I mean in the gallery below, but gosh. I truly loved capturing these moments for them.
