When I first had my consultation with Lacey to talk about all her wedding details, I knew she was going to be one of the most laid back brides ever. She was so easy going! For good reason, most brides I find are somewhat stressed and anxious about the whole planning process. But, Lacey seemed cool as a cucumber the entire time leading up to her big day!
At the end of our initial meeting, she came back to let me know “hey I forgot to tell you, our dog will be in the wedding!” She let me meet Kane prior to us leaving, and I instantly fell in love with him! Anyone who ever wants to include animals of any sort in their wedding, I am down 100%!!
Their big day on June 8th came up quickly! It seemed like we were just getting together for their fall engagement session last year, and then bam! The wedding day was here! Early summer weddings (I know, I know it’s not technically summer!) are glorious in every way. Most days in early June are filled with warmth and sunshine, and there was no shortage of that for the Perry wedding!!
When Lacey arrived on site, I immediately jumped into the wedding details. She wore blue stilettos from JustFab (I AM OBSESSED WITH JUSTFAB), had a pair of sparkly blue dancing shoes for when the fun started, and her dress…. her dress was truly unique. She wore a high-low bridal gown, but what was so special about it was the fact that Lacey had parts of her mother’s own wedding gown sewn in. The beautiful blue print and lace on the inside of the train made for the perfect addition to Lacey’s dress. And what’s the finishing touch on the whole idea? Lacey’s friend, Colleen #2 (I swear that’s what she said her nickname is!!) is the seamstress who made the pieces come together!! Talk about incredible! And once Lacey was all zipped up, if you didn’t know the dress was totally made for her before, you knew it the second she was in it. It just fit her so well in every way and looked magnificent on her!!!
Their ceremony took place on the covered bridge just outside the venue, and everything from that point on went flawlessly. Everyone in the Perry wedding party was a dream! They were so energetic and entirely fun to work with. They haha-ed at me perfectly (past #coralcompasscouples will know exactly what I mean by this!) and you could just feel the excitement and love for Travis and Lacey radiating off of not only them, but from everyone in attendance!!
One of my favorite highlights from their wedding was the anniversary dance they had planned for Lacey’s parents (who celebrated 35 years of marriage) and Auntie Dawn and Uncle Jeff!! It’s so sweet celebrating so much love with so many wonderful people to surround them. I just love that Lacey and Travis’ anniversary will be one day before her parents!! It’s so special!!
Travis and Lacey, thank you both so much for having me be part of your amazing day! Enjoy some of my favorites from their gallery 🙂
