The peak of Fall has officially come and gone, and though it was chilly and there were not many leaves left lingering, and with a hint of winter air, Mike and Sondra’s fall inspired wedding was perfect!
Their day, like many others I find, came up quick! Before I knew it, November 2nd was staring me down! I hadn’t seen them since summer of 2018 when we got together for their engagement portraits, and I was dying to see them again!
Leading up to their wedding, I fell in love with Mike’s mom, Janet! She is the literal sweetest thing, and every time I would see a message or comment from her, it would make my day every time! Finally meeting her on the wedding day was so sweet, and I loved the smile she wore on her face the whole day! I also loved Roxanne, Sondra’s mom, who showed so many genuine emotions as her girl got married to the love of her life!
It was all around such a sweet day and each person was a joy to be around. Mikes brother gave an incredibly heartfelt speech, that even had me a little emotional for a minute when I saw him tearing up as he tried to get through the rest of what he wrote down!! I got to hang around a room full of so many people who cherished Sondra and Mike, and though my day with them was long, it never seems quite long enough by the time I say my goodbyes.
The fall theme trickled throughout the day, complete with two different centerpieces alternated throughout the reception– pumpkins filled with flowers and lit lanterns with sunflower accents around the base. The green bridesmaids dresses complimented the sunflower bouquets perfectly, and everything flowed with such precision. I had never been to Barker Tavern before, but appreciated the modern rustic feel the venue held. We completed almost all their portraits the beautiful lighthouse just a few minutes from the venue. Everything combined was exactly what I would have envisioned for them!!
