Celebrating new life amidst the chaos.
I first met Amy when I decided I just couldn’t wait a second longer for a hair cut. I couldn’t even wait for an appointment. I needed one pronto. So I walked into a recommended salon that was local to me and just went for it.
I clicked with Amy instantly. She’s super outgoing and funny, which if anyone ever has a personality that is similar to mine, I very easily gravitate towards them. At that appointment we chatted and in conversation it came up that I was a photographer. It wasn’t until my second appointment with her that I learned she was expecting her first baby!! I remember hearing the excitement in her voice, talking about her plans with Logan and that they were excited to find out if she was having a girl or boy!
By my next appointment she had found out she was going to be having a sweet baby boy, and it brought me right back to when I found out I was having my little man. There’s something so special about carrying a son, and I am just so thrilled her first born will be a little boy!!!
I was overjoyed when she asked me to do her maternity photos! I love capturing all sorts of milestones that couples experience, especially when they are celebrating bringing new life into this world. She said she had access to a private beach on Newfound Lake and you guys…. I am THRILLED with the results!! I love lakeside photos regardless… but between her gorgeous dress, beautiful red hair and the warm light we had that day, it was a recipe that made my heart so happy!
It was windy, but oh so glowy. The sun set in the perfect direction so that the lake could easily be the backdrop. Logan and Amy were troopers climbing out onto the rocks, and I am just obsessed with their love and how sweet they were together!! I knew Amy had major heart eyes for Logan based on previous conversations, but oh man… the way Logan adored and loved on Amy melted me!! So sweet and so much fun. At certain points I even went into the cold water to get certain shots, and even though my feet were a little numb for a minute, it was SO worth it!!!
