Summer is here, friends!!
It was a hooooooot session. I showed up super early to scout around Maudslay State Park because I knew Craig and Taylor had a specific bridge they wanted to take photos on, and I had never ventured onto the trails to find it before, despite me doing one session here prior! It was 91* and stale outside when I arrived. Part of the reason I push for evening session closer to sunset (especially in the summer) is so that at that time of the day it’s not the hottest and we can be more comfortable, even if it is 90* outside!!
Despite how incredible hot it was, this day was honestly a perfect one to have a session. The evening glow that ended up coming out was literally my favorite, and at the very end of their session (you’ll see what I am talking about), the sun was SUPER intense going down and we caught just a few moments with it before it disappeared over the horizon. It was SO pretty!!
Craig and Taylor are one of the most outgoing couples I think I have ever had the pleasure of photographing! Craig is just hysterical, and I think was made for having his photos taken! And Taylor just had this laugh that was so fun to capture in real time. The two of them together are a perfect combination.. and how much they adore one another is just so obvious.
Though it was hot out, they did all the things — cuddled up, nuzzled, held each other. And someones love for hotdogs maaaaaaay or may not have come up a few times!!! ? We talked about so much that day, but hearing their love story and how they started dating was probably one of my most favorite parts. And let me tell you all — I can’t WAIT for their wedding day!!!
Taylor and Craig, thank you both for being so much fun and for trekking through the heat with me last weekend! You both are amazing, and I hope you enjoy some of my (many) favorites from your engagement session! ☺️
