An End of Winter Engagement Session in Sugar Hill, New Hampshire

Ahhhhh! Kellsie and Steve’s engagement session in Sugar Hill made for a perfect ending to winter! Yes, I know… we still technically have two and a half weeks left til Spring, but it was nice to get one more snowy session in celebrating an engagement before the ground starts turning muddy!

One of my most favorite parts about this session was discovering that the place I frequent in Sugar Hill for sessions most  is literally less than a quarter mile from their venue!! I’ve passed their venue before when in the area but never realized it was a place to host weddings, and I am SO thrilled that this summer I will get to go back up that way for their wedding celebrations!!! Not to mention it will be a wonderful contrast in images from their wintry engagement shoot.

Despite it being winter the weather was phenomenal given the season. The snow wasn’t powdery but instead, it was like there was a sheet of ice coating the top. It made for an interesting time trudging through it (at one point I tried standing on a snowbank and fell through almost up to my waist but we kept going!!! 😆), but that didn’t stop Kellsie and Steve from enjoying the location!!

My time with them was purely effortless. We originally had scheduled their session back in November but the weather didn’t hold up. Secretly, I was so glad we held out because the diffused light we had on Sunday was maaaagical!! It was a nice ending to the weekend — they both enjoyed a weekend away and some Polly’s Pancakes (seriously, I have to try them!) and their engagement photos was the cherry on top!
